PFI Kolbe Fellow Joins LBC/AWF Rwanda Team

_ACK0137A new addition to the Living Bricks Campaign and As We Forgive Rwanda Initiative Team, Rachel Weber moved to Kigali, Rwanda in September. Rachel has committed to nine months in Rwanda and will be working with LBC and AWFRI to expand programming, record stories, and be the communications liaison to our US supporters on the reconciliation progress in Rwanda.

Since her arrival, Rachel has visited the inhabitants of the new Living Bricks homes and witnessed firsthand the comprehensive benefits of home ownership and accompanied reconciliation practices by speaking with the residents themselves, Veronica and Gemima. Rachel also had the opportunity to meet with a small sample of people who are waiting to own homes through the Living Bricks Campaign and hear their stories. She will continue to visit the village on a regular basis and track the house building progress to keep all of our supporters up-to-date on the remarkable and practical reconciliation work that is happening through LBC. Rachel will also be spending her time volunteering with the As We Forgive Rwanda Initiative, assisting the Rwandan project manager, Benjamin Ndizey, in organizing screenings of the film As We Forgive and equipping local leaders to promote reconciliation in their areas.
